Welcome to Mike & Amy Abdou’s Tabboule!
Our idea was to combine premier guest experience, authentic Lebanese cuisine and warm atmosphere all in one place. Destination Tabboule!
The food is prepared fresh and made with top quality ingredients; the ambiance and the warm service makes you feel like you’re dining with friends and family.
Amy greets every dinner guest at least twice during the meal. Her ritual of stopping by tables to say hello and at times, even pulling up a chair to join the dinner conversation for a while, has been well received. In written testimonials, patrons have noted Tabboule’s “warm, family atmosphere,” “congenial hosts,” “exceptional service,” and delicious food.
The cuisine of Lebanon is the epitome of the Mediterranean diet. It includes an abundance of starches, fruits, vegetables, fresh fish and seafood; animal fats are consumed sparingly. Many of the dishes include copious amounts of garlic and olive oil — hardly a meal goes by in Lebanon that does not include these two ingredients. Most often foods are either grilled, baked or sautéed in olive oil; butter or cream is rarely used other than in a few desserts. Vegetables are often eaten raw or pickled as well as cooked. While the cuisine of Lebanon doesn’t boast an entire repertoire of sauces, it focuses on herbs, spices and the freshness of ingredients; the assortment of dishes and combinations are almost limitless.
Since 2004, Tabboule has been one of the elite dining destinations in Ridgewood, New Jersey. As a result of the high demand for our unique dishes, we also cater and deliver to customers all over the tri-state area.
